I know there are safe personal care products in the industry. I don’t understand why manufacturers still use toxic chemicals.

Well, the tests industry does and the tests health professionals and consumers do are different. Consumers also like a lower threshold for exposure than industry does. It’s really important for independent, third parties not affiliated with manufacturers to test product claims and verify safety.

Thank you for posting the information on this research study. While many of us have become more focused on what we’re putting into our bodies, it’s equally important to research what we’re putting on our bodies. Some of the ingredients in make-up (like lead!) are unbelievable. I stopped using conventional lipstick awhile back and now use brands like Alba and Burt’s Bees which are more natural and organic. There are a bunch of great websites with natural make-up these days, which make finding better options a lot easier than it used to be!
